Fort Fun is a rather small amusement park near Winterberg in the Sauerland region in Germany. Here you can spend the perfect day with the whole family and discover exciting attractions. Some information was revealed in a press release on April 4th about the future of Fort Fun.
Fort Fun starts its new season on April 12th and to coincide with the opening there is new information about the theme park. With “Großer Adlers freier Flug”, a new attraction is being introduced. The topic of sustainability is also addressed and the events for 2025 are listed.
Großer Adlers freier Flug
The new attraction in the form of a Wild Swing from the manufacturer Art Engineering resembles a giant swing. It is part of the “Yakari” themed area, which is based on the children’s series of the same name. “Großer Adler” is the totem of the little Indian boy and accompanies him on his many adventures. The attraction complements the area already opened in 2023 and thus offers another ride for the whole family. At up to 12 meters, you swing over a landscaped lake.
Sustainability
The popular attraction “Rocky Mountain Rally” will now be powered by electric motors instead of gasoline as it spins through the “Rocky Mountains”. There are now no limits to the fun of the ride as the new attractions will also improve waiting times for guests. The attractions are not the only things that are becoming more environmentally friendly in the park, from now on group travelers will also be offered an environmentally friendly journey through the cooperation between FORT FUN and busfinder.com when they book their tickets via the FORT FUN online store. During the high season, visitors arriving by train may be provided with a shuttle bus to the park.
Events
Throughout the year, FORT FUN offers exciting events that guests can look forward to. From the cheerful Yakari weekend to the spooky FORT FEAR, there is something for every age group and mood.
May 03 and 04 Yakari Weekend:
The Yakari Weekend has its primaries this year and has great hands-on activities such as archery, face painting, a dance party, a petting session with the desert buzzard ,,Harris Hawk “ and even the chance to meet Yakari himself.
August 22 and 23 Mexican Summer:
Guests can look forward to the Mexican Summer event:
- a DJ
- An original mariachi band
- Dancers& Walk-Acts
- the chance to experience selected attractions at dusk
- fun family games
- after further surprises
October 24 to November 01 FORT FEAR:
At the FORT FEAR event, guests can look forward to new horror stories, a great Halloween atmosphere and the park at night.
“Early Slider”
Guests now have the opportunity to take advantage of the new online offer “Early Slider”. With this offer, a limited number of guests can enjoy popular attractions such as the Trapper Slider and the summer toboggan run one hour earlier for 9 euros + the normal admission price without having to wait.
