This weekend, the annual Halloween Fright Nights return to Plopsaland Germany (formerly Holiday Park). Visitors can look forward to thrilling horror attractions, spooky shows, festival vibes, and a grand fireworks finale.
Here’s what you can expect this year.

Halloween Fright Nights

The Halloween event takes place every Friday and Saturday in October.

Highlights:

  • Four eerie Scare Zones
  • Five terrifying Horror Houses (Mazes)
  • Three spectacular live shows
  • Festival atmosphere with DJs at the “Fountain Square”
  • Fireworks at the end of every Halloween night

In addition, most rides in the park will stay open late into the night, including the award-winning roller coaster bigFM Expedition GeForce and the launch coaster Sky Scream.

On event days between October 3 and November 1, Plopsaland Germany is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

4 Scare Zones

Scare Zones are freely accessible themed areas in the park that transform into sinister settings after nightfall.

Woifeschd (New)

“Long ago, a harmless wine festival in our Palatinate village turned into utter chaos – and since then, nothing has been the same. Among spoiled wine and decayed festivities, creatures and guests from the past remain trapped… still celebrating in their own grotesque way to this day.”

Location: Themed area “Pfälzer Dorf”

Murder District

“A fateful night lies ahead, where everything is allowed. The liberating feeling of doom drags you into despair, torn between choices and the cruelty of pure violence. Between pounding beats and the silent night sky, vengeful attackers stare into your terrified eyes. This is not a test! Right next to Sky Scream, Germany’s scariest roller coaster”

Location: Sky Scream

Skrämma

“The icy wind carries the howls of old battles into your ears. Dark silhouettes of lonely Vikings lurk in the shadows. Dreadful warriors, who have shed much blood, marked by trauma and wounds that never heal.”

Location: Themed area “Wickieland”

Scarecrow

“Deep in the fields, where the fog hangs heavy on the crops, the night turns into a nightmare. Scarecrows, long more than just straw and wood, stand motionless among the rows – yet their empty eyes seem to follow you. Every step echoes with ghostly screams and the ominous wingbeat of deathly ravens. Whoever dares to enter these fields should expect more than just a chilling whisper in the wind – nothing here is as lifeless as it seems.””

Location: Entrance Expedition GeForce

5 Horror-Mazes

The Horror Houses – also called Mazes – are walk-through attractions filled with intense scares. An additional fee is required, and tickets must be booked with a fixed time slot on top of park admission.

Academy of Freaks (New)

“The show is over, the circus lies still – but the ringmistress won’t give up. She’s looking for new talents… and you could be one of them. Dare to enter the Academy of Freaks, where only the bravest survive. Experience training filled with eerie trials, unexpected encounters, and electrifying suspense. Those who succeed become part of the circus – those who fail will face its dark side.”

Location: Free Fall Tower

LOST: Mission Camp Sonnenschein (New)

“A seemingly harmless school trip turns into a nightmare… The children of a class have vanished without a trace, and their teacher seems anything but helpful. Her behavior raises more questions than answers – is she an ally, or is she behind the disappearance? As a private investigator, you wander through the abandoned camp with the beam of your flashlight to uncover the dark secret. Will you find the children in time – or will their fate remain hidden forever?”

Note: Each group receives a flashlight to find their way through the dark forest.

Price: from €7
Location: Themed area “The Beach”

Titty Twister

“Welcome to the darkest bar of the night – a place where seduction and horror go hand in hand. Behind flickering neon lights, the Titty Twister tempts with sinful shows, wild vibes, and an atmosphere that lures every visitor in, while Miss Monique captures every glance with a seductive smile. But beware: those who enter cross a line from which there is no return. What really happens in this den remains a grim secret.”

Schnitzelhaus

“Far beyond the borders, the Schnitzelhaus is famous for its hearty specialties – especially its delicious schnitzels, drawing in every hungry guest. But behind the rustic façade lurks a secret that should have stayed hidden. The butcher wields his knife not only for the kitchen – and anyone who gets too close may end up on the plates of the next guests quicker than they think. Enter if you dare to satisfy your hunger – but think twice if you truly want to taste the final course.”

But not everything is as it seems: when the magician attempts his greatest trick of all time, clowns, acrobats, and the arena spiral into complete chaos. Will the show succeed – or collapse into mayhem? Witness a circus spectacle full of tension and unexpected twists.”
