From September 22 to September 26, 2025, IAAPA Expo Europe took place in Barcelona, Spain. “IAAPA is the leading trade association representing the diverse and ever-changing attractions industry. Founded in 1918, IAAPA brings together professionals from amusement parks, theme parks, water parks, resorts, family entertainment centers, museums, science centers, zoos, aquariums, and many other areas.” Information about the new products released can be found here.
Vekoma Boomerang at Karls Erlebnisdorf Döbeln
A new Vekoma Family Boomerang roller coaster will open in Karls Erlebnisdorf in Döbeln in 2026. The coaster will travel forwards and backwards, be around 460 meters long, have a spike, and cover a family-friendly route. The front car that will adorn the roller coaster train was presented at IAAPA. The individual cars represent strawberry punnets and the roller coaster station is modeled after a strawberry stand. It was also announced that a second Vekoma Boomerang has been sold to Karls. However, where and when it will open has not yet been communicated to the public.
Boldmove Nation
Boldmove Nation is now presenting Smash&Reload 2.0 as a trackless dark ride. This means that the attraction’s cars can move without fixed rails. In principle, it is an interactive adventure for the whole family. The first of its kind is scheduled to open in the Norwegian amusement park Hunderfossen in spring 2026. The manufacturer has also announced another new attraction. The Spinfinity Coaster is being developed in collaboration with E&S Rides. This is a unique combination of dark ride and roller coaster that combines an exciting layout, movements, media content, and theming. The first Spinfinity Coaster is scheduled to open in France in 2028. The following facts are known: 61.5 km/h fast, 450 meters long, 13 water effects and a capacity of 1000 people per hour.
WildSwing XL – ART Engineering
The Wild Swings from ART Engineering are already a popular ride for young and old alike, and many parks have one of these attractions. A new version of the swing will soon be available. This will be an XL version and will be considerably larger than the previous model. Not only will the ride itself be larger, but its capacity will also be increased and the whole ride will be made a little more thrilling. Two deliveries have already been announced for 2026 in Liseberg and Bellewearde Park.
Mack Rides
The Waldkirchen-based company has announced a flying theater for Plopsaland in Belgium for 2027. This will be part of a completely new themed area in the park. The new attraction combines high capacity, innovative loading systems, and special effects such as wind, fog, and water.
White Water
Antalya Land of Legends is getting a 50-meter-long bodyslide from White Water. There are also other new slide concepts.
Outdoor Factory
Outdoor Factory is providing the concept for the new “Isla Aventura” amusement park in Venezuela and has announced a dark ride, bumper cars, and a funhouse. The model of the park also shows a looping coaster and a clone of Dynamite from the Plohn amusement park, but these have not yet been confirmed.
