The Dutch theme park Efteling has kicked off its winter season. This year, visitors can once more look forward to enchanting experiences and magical winter highlights.
From 10 November 2025 to 1 February 2026, the park transforms daily into Winter Efteling, featuring festive decorations and a wide range of entertainment.
Warme Winter Weide
The central hub of the winter festivities is the Warme Winter Weide (Warm Winter Meadow), located on the event grounds near Carnaval Festival. In this small, enchanting winter world, guests can enjoy live entertainment and a wide selection of hot drinks, as well as sweet and savory snacks.
The highlight, however, is the large open-air ice skating rink. Ice skates can be rented for a small fee.
Winter Entertainment
Aquanura
The popular evening show Aquanura delights audiences with spectacular water effects, atmospheric lighting, and musical accompaniment, making it a perfect finale to a winter visit at Efteling.
Wonder Winter Tree
The nine-meter-tall tree shines in colorful lights on the Warme Winter Weide, creating an especially festive atmosphere.

Rides in Winter
Most attractions remain open during winter — weather permitting — including the two water rides Piraña and De Vliegende Hollander.

New Year’s Eve 2025/26 at Efteling
You can once again celebrate New Year’s Eve at Efteling.
The park will be open on 31 December until 6 PM and will then reopen from 7 PM to 1 AM exclusively for New Year’s Eve event guests. The evening features live entertainment and, of course, a grand fireworks display to welcome the new year together.
Note: Tickets for the New Year’s Eve event are already sold out.
