Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Studios Florida in 2026. From August 28 through November 1, the Halloween event will take place on select nights for its 35th edition. To mark the anniversary, Universal Orlando has announced a total of ten haunted houses, several scare zones and street experiences, as well as two live shows.
This year’s line-up brings together major horror franchises and personalities such as “Stranger Things,” “Hellraiser,” “Sinners” and Ozzy Osbourne alongside original stories created specifically for Halloween Horror Nights. Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow, two well-known characters from the event’s history, will also play a central role.
Ten haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights 2026
The elaborately themed haunted houses once again form the centerpiece of Halloween Horror Nights. A total of ten different mazes await guests during the event’s 35th edition.
In “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” guests enter a world inspired by the life and dark imagery of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. The haunted house will incorporate various elements associated with the musician famously known as the “Prince of Darkness.”

“Evil Dead Burn” brings the latest installment of the popular horror franchise to Halloween Horror Nights. Based on the new film, the haunted house takes guests inside a family home overtaken by a demonic force, where bloodthirsty Deadites are lurking around every corner.

“Hellraiser” will also be part of Halloween Horror Nights in 2026. Based on the original “Hellraiser” trilogy, the haunted house takes guests into the world of Pinhead and the Cenobites.

“Stranger Things 5” and “Sinners” become haunted houses
Following several previous appearances at Halloween Horror Nights, “Stranger Things” returns with a new haunted house. “Stranger Things 5” is based on the final season of the Netflix series. Guests join the Hawkins gang and encounter Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer and Vecna along the way.

Another haunted house is based on the film “Sinners.” The setting is the Smokestack Twins’ juke joint, where opening night is disrupted by a group of bloodthirsty vampires.

Universal is also once again turning to its own original stories and characters. One of the highlights is “Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control.” The haunted house explores the origins of Jack the Clown while also taking guests into the universe of Dr. Oddfellow. The two familiar Halloween Horror Nights characters face off as the opposing forces of chaos and control.

Four additional original haunted houses
“Cybergoria” transports guests thousands of years into the future. In a world controlled by machines, humanity is offered the prospect of eternal life – but at a deadly cost.

Extraterrestrial horror awaits in “INVASION: Alien Abduction.” A group of Grays has invaded a remote homestead and is searching for new test subjects.

In “MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals,” meanwhile, a defunct zoo serves as the setting. The grounds have been taken over by rival cannibal factions, forcing guests to make their way through their deadly territory.

This year’s line-up is completed by “H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!” H.R. Bloodengutz, a character familiar from previous editions of Halloween Horror Nights, returns to the fictional WKNB television station to present a special Halloween program filled with monsters and macabre scenes.

Scare zones bring the horror to the streets
The scares will not be limited to the haunted houses, as large parts of Universal Studios Florida will once again be transformed for the event. Several scare zones and street experiences ensure that guests encounter so-called scareactors throughout the park.
In “Downtown Clowntown,” a city neighborhood becomes home to a group of murderous clowns.
The video game “Fortnite” also makes its way into Halloween Horror Nights with “FORTNITEMARES.” The scare zone is inspired by the game’s Halloween event of the same name, bringing its creatures and the spreading Storm into the park.
“Sideshow of Decay” draws on the history of Halloween Horror Nights itself. In an abandoned carnival junkyard, Cindy Caine opens a portal that allows nightmares from the event’s past to return.
Another connection to the event’s history can be found in “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares.” Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow invite guests into a sinister spectacle that brings together elements from several decades of Halloween Horror Nights.
The scare zones are complemented by two street experiences. In “Mel’s Die-In: Zombies,” undead carhops take over the familiar Mel’s Drive-In. Meanwhile, the streets of San Francisco are transformed into a dark party zone with an undead DJ for “Club Horror.”

Two live shows complete the entertainment line-up
In addition to the haunted houses and scare zones, Halloween Horror Nights 2026 will feature two live shows.
“Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins” takes a musical look back at all five seasons of “Stranger Things.” Presented as a special broadcast from the fictional WSQK radio station, the production combines music, monsters and memorable moments from the series.
“Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir” offers a dark music and stunt show. Set in a metropolis overrun by vampires, the production combines music with a variety of death-defying stunt elements.

Select rides remain open during the event
Alongside the special Halloween Horror Nights experiences, guests can also enjoy several regular attractions at Universal Studios Florida. According to the current line-up, “Revenge of the Mummy,” “Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts,” “TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D” and “MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack” will remain open during event nights.
