Efteling Announces New Show and Attraction for 2026

The Dutch theme park Efteling has announced two novelties for next year in the area of the Raveleijn Theater. In addition to a brand-new show, visitors can also look forward to a new ride.

Since 2011, the park show “Raveleijn” has been delighting visitors with its impressive scenery and spectacular special effects. Rumors about the end of the current show had been circulating for some time. It is now confirmed that the well-known production will only be performed until the end of the Christmas holidays. After that, the arena will remain closed for several months.

Efteling announces that the show will return in a new form. In the future, it will be performed more frequently and almost year-round. Live animals will no longer be part of the concept. In addition, more sustainable fire effects will be used. The current story will be revised, but the familiar main characters will remain part of the experience. The stage set will also be enhanced with additional elements.

Raveleijn becomes a own themed area

Raveleijn is set to become a fully-fledged themed area. In addition to the new show and a souvenir shop, the food and beverage offerings will also be expanded. This way, visitors will be able to immerse themselves even more deeply into the world of Raveleijn.

New attraction at the Raveleijn Theater

Directly next to the open-air arena, an entirely new attraction is also being built. In a recent press release, Efteling describes the “compact attraction with a thrill experience” as a “rotating flight adventure, in which guests feel as if they are gliding along with the wings of the ravens” (translated from German).
However, the exact ride type has not yet been revealed.

The opening of the redesigned area, along with the new features, is scheduled for the end of 2026.

Another novelty in 2026

In addition to the redesign of Raveleijn, Efteling is also working on another new attraction. Near the roller coaster Baron 1898, a new family attraction is set to open in summer 2026.
