A new theme park has opened in Orlando, Florida:
Epic Universe is the fourth theme park at Universal Orlando Resort and takes you on adventures through the worlds of Super Mario, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon, and more.
Here’s everything you need to know about the brand-new park.

5 Immersive Themed Lands

The themed areas of Epic Universe are built around a central hub called Celestial Park, from which guests can access each completely self-contained world through its own unique portal.

Celestial Park

Celestial Park is the heart of the theme park, filled with lush nature, green spaces, and water features. This is also where the entrance to Epic Universe is located. In addition, you’ll find shops, food stands, and a variety of restaurants, as well as two attractions.

At the end of Celestial Park rises the impressive Helios Grand Hotel, offering direct access to the park and serving as a dramatic visual anchor for the area.

Attractions at Celestial Park:

  • Stardust Racers | dueling steel roller coaster (with inversions)
  • Constellation Carousel | classic carousel

Restaurants at Celestial Park (selection):

Super Nintendo World (Super Mario Land & Donkey Kong Country)

The first portal on the left after entering the park takes you into Super Nintendo World, which itself is divided into two separate themed areas. You’ll first walk into the vibrant Super Mario Land, similar to versions already found in other Universal Studios parks around the world. This area features many interactive elements, character meet & greets with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad, and the Toadstool Cafe™ quick-service restaurant.

A tunnel leads you into the second half of Super Nintendo World: Donkey Kong Country.
Inspired by the classic Donkey Kong video games, this jungle-themed area includes more snack stands, interactive decor, character experiences, and a family-friendly attraction.

Attractions at Super Nintendo World:

Super Mario Land:

  • Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge | interactive Augmented Reality (AR) dark ride
  • Yoshi’s Adventure™ | family-friendly interactive ride

Donkey Kong Country:

Dark Universe

A stark contrast to the colorful Super Nintendo World awaits behind the next portal: Dark Universe. Here, the legendary Universal Classic Monsters like Dracula, the Wolfman, and Frankenstein’s Monster come to life. Walk through Darkmoor Village to reach the eerie mansion of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the lead character in the land’s main attraction: Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. Another attraction is hidden in a nearby wooded area. You’ll also find some unusual food options in this land.

Attractions at Dark Universe:

  • Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment | RoboCoaster dark ride
  • Curse of the Werewolf | launched spinning coaster
  • Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Ministry of Magic™

Wizards and witches, take note: a new adventure awaits in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This portal takes you to magical 1920s Paris, inspired by the Fantastic Beasts film series. You can encounter a wide variety of magical creatures during a spectacular live show in the Cirque Arcanus tent. Additionally, there are many interactive elements that can be activated with a wand, along with charming shops, cafés, and restaurants.

Through a tunnel representing the Paris Metro, you’ll reach the British Ministry of Magic in London via a magical fireplace. There, you’ll experience another of Epic Universe’s major attractions: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry.

Attractions at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Ministry of Magic™:

Enter the world of Hiccup, Toothless, and their friends, and embark on exciting adventures. This area mainly features attractions suitable for the whole family. Even more spectacular than the rides is the live show The Untrainable Dragon. You’ll also have the chance to meet your favorite characters in person, and of course, this area includes themed dining and retail experiences.
