Hamburger Sommerdom 2025 – Everything you need to know

The DOM in Hamburg is a popular destination and thrills visitors several times a year with a wide range of rides, funfair stalls and culinary delights. From July 25 to August 24, it’s time for the traditional Hamburger Sommerdom 2025. You can find all the information about the funfair here.


Opening hours and event days

Monday to Thursday: 3 pm – 11 pm

Friday and Saturday: 3 pm – 12 am

Sunday: 2 pm – 11 pm

Family day

Every Wednesday there are great offers and reduced prices for all visitors to the DOM.

Fireworks

On the opening day and on every 2nd Friday during the event, a large firework display takes place. The sky lights up at around 22:30.


Directions & Parking

Arrival by public transport

Arrival by public transport is recommended to avoid major traffic jams. The subway lines U2 to Messehallen, U3 to Feldstraße and U3 to St.Pauli stop directly on site at the stops mentioned. The S-Bahn S1/S3 to Landungsbrücken and S1/S3 to Reeperbahn and the buses 3,17,X3,602 to U Feldstraße, 16,17,37,112,607,608,609,610,641,688 to U St.Pauli and X35 to Hamburg Messe also stop in the immediate vicinity. The underground and suburban trains run until 00:30 during the week and around the clock at weekends.

StadtRAD

StadtRAD are public bicycles that can be used around the city. The stations are located around Heiligengeistfeld at U St. Pauli / Millerntorplatz and at U Feldstraße / Marktstraße.

Arrival by car

Parking facilities are very limited and we therefore recommend traveling by public transport, as there can be long waiting times and traffic jams. If you are coming from outside the city, you can park your car on the outskirts and continue your journey by bus or train. If you are dependent on a car, the following parking options are available:

Heiligengeistfeld parking lot (Feldstraße/corner of Glacischaussee), approx. 140 parking spaces

Glacischaussee special parking lot (Wednesdays and Fridays to Sundays only) (access via Millerntor/Budapester Str. intersection), 650 parking spaces and ten free disabled parking spaces

Heiligengeistfeld parking lot (Budapester Str., entrance to the St. Pauli stadium) approx. 45 car parking spaces

Parking garage in Millerntorhochhaus (access via Simon-vom-Utrecht-Str./Kl. Seilerstr.), 550 parking spaces

Parking garage Nomis Quartier (Simon von Utrecht Str. 65), 271 parking spaces

Tanzende Türme underground parking garage (Zirkusweg 20), 310 parking spaces

Parking garage Mitte (Messe) (access via Lagerstraße), 900 spaces

Parkhaus Ost (underground parking garage) (access via “Bei den Kirchhöfen”), 880 spaces

Parking garage CCH – Congress Center Hamburg (access via Tiergartenstraße), 700 spaces
