Summer is starting and amusement parks are also starting their summer season with numerous events. An overview of the June events at theme parks can be found here.
Austria
June 19-21 Familypark: The Solstice Festival celebrates the start of summer and the longest days of the year. There is a spectacular program including special shows, live music and lots of hands-on activities.
June 21 Fantasiana: Sci-Fi Day is all about your favorite characters from Star Wars and co. As you walk through the park, you can meet some of them and take a souvenir photo.
Belgium
June 12 Bobbejaanland: Marc de Bel visits Bobbejaanland. The author of books for young people is available for meetings and questions and is also looking forward to meet many children.
June 21 Bobbejaanland: More than 150 special cars enter the park for one day. Cars&Rides is all about classic cars and special editions. Part of the proceeds go to an organization that supports children with cancer.
Denmark
June 05 Bakken: The Queen cover bands at Keen on Queen will rock the stage at the Bakken Open Air Center. You can experience Queen up close and free of charge (included in park admission) from 6.30 pm.
June 12 Bakken: The PinkFloyd Project plays a big concert in the park. In addition to well-known PinkFloyd pieces, they also play their own songs. The band plays on the open-air stage from 6.30 pm.
June 15 Danfoss Universe: On Mascot Day, countless mascots run through the park. There will be a big parade with your fluffy friends from 10.30 am.
June 19 Bakken: At A Rush of Coldplay, a Coldplay tribute band will be on stage from 6.30 pm. Look forward to Coldplay’s greatest hits and a special atmosphere in Bakken.
June 26 Bakken: Gasbox is a rock cover band featuring Gasolin and Kim Larsen. He is a well-known musician from Denmark who has become famous with his band, among other things.You can see them from 6.30 pm on the open-air stage.
June 28 & 29 Danfoss Universe: Geek Day is for all those who love video games and fantasy. There will be gaming activities, role-playing games, trading card swaps and cool challenges to take part in.
Finland
June 20 Power Park: The Midsummer Festival invites the whole family to a fun-filled event. In addition to live music from top artists, there are many other activities to take part in. There is also a big, popular horse race to watch.
June 27 Linnanmäki: The theme park celebrates its 75th birthday. There will be a special program, but this has not yet been decided.
France
June 14 & 15 Jardin d’acclimatation: in collaboration with Louis Vuitton, the park is hosting the Family Festival. There will be art workshops, performances, a fairytale trail and various sports to try out.
Germany
June 01 Sonnenlandpark: The children’s festival is celebrated in the form of a big beach party. There are numerous activity stands, a children’s disco, bouncy castles and much more. The new water attraction “Platsch-Platsch-Oase” is also going to open that day.
June 01 Freizeitpark Plohn: The Children’s Day Party will be held in aid of Children’s Day. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. there will be a colorful program including children’s tattoos, a dance show, meet & greets and other entertainment.
June 01 Ravensburger Spieleland: Milk Day is all about the delicious product, with milking competitions, craft activities and a competition rally with great prizes from Ravensburger. The venue is the Omira Milk Barn and the barbecue snack bar.
June 07-09 Europa Park: At the Austrian Festival you can learn all about the country’s traditions. There are delicious delicacies, traditional music and traditional costumes.
June 07 Karls Erlebnis-Dorf Zirkow: The classic car meeting takes place on the grounds from 12 to 7 pm. Numerous old cars will be on display and car lovers will get their money’s worth.
June 14 & 15 Ritter Rost Magicpark: You can put your skills to the test at the sandcastle festival. You can take part in a competition yourself or just watch the masterpieces of real sand artists.
June 25 Europa Park: Under the motto “Music connects”, the park celebrates the Euro-Musique Festival. Many different musicians and music groups are invited to fill the park with music. There is a colorful program with different music styles.
June 26 to September 6 Holiday Park/Plopsaland Germany: This year’s Summer Nights are starting. Big parties with DJs, cocktails and an additional wine festival await you on the respective Saturdays. At the end of each evening there will be a firework display set to music.
June 28 & 29 Europa Park: The Greek Festival focuses on Greek culture. There are typical Greek specialties and traditional activities.
June 28 & 29 Ritter Rost Magicpark: The model building days invite you to a weekend full of technology and creativity. Numerous exhibitors will be presenting their models and you can even try out a few yourself.
June 28 & 29 Serengeti Park: Two well-known children’s bands, “HeavySaurus” and “KoolKatz”, play at the Kids Festival. There are also other program items such as clowns, games and bouncy castles.
June 28 Fort Fun: The 21st Western Run takes place. The running event for the whole family has 12 running routes for everyone. These run through the park and surrounding woods. Pre-registration is required and the entry fee is between 12 and 17 euros (including park admission).
June 29 Schloss Thurn: The big knights and princesses day is a great experience for little knights and princesses. You can dress up and take advantage of special activities or watch and cheer on the big knights’ tournament. Dressed up children receive a 50% discount on admission tickets.
Italy
June 07 to 29 Movieland Park: The Film Festival has a different movie theme every weekend in June. There are corresponding food stands, photo points, shows and exhibitions.

June 06 to August 03 Busch Gardens Tampa: Sesame Street Safari of Fun celebrates its 15th birthday. The themed area is decorated to match, there is an exclusive treasure hunt, photo spots and customized shows.
