Plopsaland Deutschland (formerly Holiday Park) is already intensively preparing for the upcoming season. As part of a major Grand Opening, visitors can look forward to premieres, parties, and an extensive entertainment program.

On Sunday, March 22, 2026, Plopsaland Deutschland (Germany) will celebrate the start of the 2026 season. In addition to numerous other program highlights, visitors can also look forward to the opening of a brand-new attraction. Over the course of the day, the new family roller coaster 100% Wolf is set to be officially inaugurated.

Guests can also expect a large opening ceremony at the Fountain Plaza, featuring a special guest.

Tickets for the Grand Opening are available in the official online shop for €54.

Family Roller Coaster “100% Wolf”

The new attraction is a custom family coaster manufactured by Gerstlauer. Comparable installations of this type can already be found in several European theme parks, including Pégase Express at Parc Astérix, Wakala at Bellewaerde Park, as well as the Cornwall Coaster, which is currently under construction at Hansa-Park.

The new roller coaster is being built directly next to the large lake in the rear area of the park, giving it a prominent position within the existing landscape. Thematically, 100% Wolf is based on the animated film franchise and TV series of the same name by Studio 100. Accordingly, the attraction features extensive theming. One of the central visual highlights is a large rock formation shaped like a wolf’s head, which is visible from afar and serves as the thematic centerpiece of the ride.

The Roller Coaster Ride

The new family coaster features a track length of 645 meters, while the actual ride length totals 760 meters. This difference is due to a special track element: a section of the track, including a so-called spike, is traversed both forwards and backwards, adding extra variety and dynamic moments to the ride experience.

During the approximately two-minute ride, the trains reach a top speed of 55 km/h, positioning 100% Wolf as a family-friendly yet still action-packed attraction. The highest point of the ride reaches 17.5 meters, offering a brief overview of the park and the adjacent lake.

Originally, the roller coaster was planned to open in autumn. However, the opening was postponed to 2026 in order to complete the full theming and detailed design of the attraction by the start of the season. With the Grand Opening in March 2026, 100% Wolf is now set to make its debut as a fully realized attraction, sustainably expanding the family offering at Plopsaland Deutschland.
