We are slowly leaving the Halloween events behind us and turning our attention to another season: Christmas. More and more parks are now open in winter and celebrate this festive season with special events and highlights. Many of these events begin in November. Find out which ones here.

Belgium

November 15 to January 4 Plopsaland De Panne: During the Winter Celebrations, the park is transformed into a sparkling sea of lights. There are also special culinary offerings and shows.

Denmark

November 29 to December 31 Legoland Billund: During the Christmas season, you can expect sparkling Christmas lights, fun Christmas activities, and a very special LEGO Christmas magic.

France

November 8 to January 6 Disneyland Paris: The magical Disney Christmas season transforms the park into a Christmas wonderland and has a number of highlights in store. There is a Christmas parade, extra shows, Christmas snacks, and all kinds of Christmas gifts in the shops.

From November 15th, Ok Corral: Noel begins in the park at 2 p.m. each day. There are stands selling punch and other treats, three magic shows, and simply an enchanting atmosphere throughout the park.

Germany

November 8 to March 1 Serengeti Park: The Festival of Lights illuminates the park. More than 1,000 light objects in the shape of animals and fantasy figures and 10,000 LED lights are distributed throughout the park. There are also winter culinary offerings, cozy seating areas, and exciting activities on the weekends.

November 15 to January 25 Phantasialand: Wintertraum is an event full of lights, shows, winter delicacies, and fun rides. Every day ends with a grand finale show, including spectacular fireworks and fitting music.

November 21 to March 1 Karls Erlebnisdörfer: During Strawberry Winter, every park has a real ice skating rink, winter delicacies, lots of lights, and winter shopping opportunities. The tractor rides are also decorated, and you can ride through a glowing winter forest.

November 22 to February 1 Wunderland Kalkar: The Wunderlights feature four different illuminated worlds. You can also go ice skating, visit the winter food market, and enjoy great activities and attractions.

November 27 to January 12 Funny World: Funny World has lots of great, family-friendly offers around Christmas. There are workshops for the kids, meetings with St. Nicholas and Santa Claus, and a Christmas market in the shop.

November 28 to January 5 Movie Park: Hollywood’s Christmas is taking place for the second time this year. There are lots of decorations and lights throughout the park, an ice rink, food stands, and an extensive show program.

November 28 to January 6 LEGOLAND Germany: Winter at Legoland attracts visitors with festive decorations, an ice rink, and shows. Live entertainment with a winter theme is available throughout the day at various locations.

Sat & Sun from November 29 Bayern Park: Family magic ignites the magic of the Christmas season. Of course, there are rides, treats, and festive shows. But decorated market stalls and a program for children (puzzle trail, craft workshop, baking station) are also on the agenda.

Sat & Sun, November 29 to January 4 Schwaben Park: Advent Dream is the park’s Christmas event. The park will be decorated and there will be a Christmas program. However, only selected attractions will be open.

November 29 to January 6 Freizeitland Geiselwind: Geiselwind’s Winter Wonderland is back for another round. 100,000 lights illuminate the park, and you can go ice skating, drink punch, and meet Santa Claus.

Italy

November 8 to January 6 Cinecitta World: Natale a Roma heralds the start of the Christmas season in the park. There are decorations everywhere, shows, meet & greets with Santa Claus and friends, and small stalls selling Christmas items. There is also an ice rink, and of course the attractions are open too.

Sat & Sun, November 8–23 Movieland Park: Natale all’improvviso brings a cheerful and contemplative atmosphere to the park. There are decorations, special entertainment, and special culinary offerings.

November 8 to January 6 Magicland: Magic Christmas is the perfect Christmas event for the whole family. The park is decked out in festive decorations, lights, and themed music. Everyone can meet Santa Claus, take a souvenir photo with him, and receive a small gift.

Netherlands

November 10 to December 31 Efteling: Winter Efteling combines a festive season full of fairy tales, excitement, and adventure. There are winter treats, festive entertainment, and everything your Christmas heart desires at the Winter Pasture.

November 22 to January 18 Toverland: During Winter Feelings, the entire park is transformed into a magical winter wonderland. The whole park is decorated, and Port Laguna is the Christmas hotspot with an ice rink, snow tube slide, curling lanes, market stalls, special culinary offerings, and the closing show.

Poland

November 29 to February 8 Energylandia: The park offers fun for the whole family during Winter Kingdom. The attractions are open, there are countless lights, an ice rink, a snow tube track, shows, parades, a Christmas market, culinary offerings, and younger guests can meet Santa Claus himself.

Spain

November 22 to January 6 Port Aventura: Port Aventura focuses on creating a beautiful atmosphere and putting on shows throughout the park during Christmas. The attractions are also open.

United Kingdom

November 7–9 Alton Towers: The Ultimate Fireworks Night Spectacular will take place under the motto “Alton Intelligence” and will incorporate AI to transform guests’ emotions into a grand fireworks display (storyline). The fireworks will take place at 7:00 p.m. each evening and will last approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

November 15 to December 24 Blackpool Pleasure Beach: At Christmas Grotto Wonderland, elves accompany children along a magical and interactive path to Santa Claus (separate ticket required). In addition, you can go ice skating on the park grounds, eat a bubble waffle, or win Christmas cuddly toys at the game booths.

November 22 to December 31 Chessington World of Adventure: Chessington Winter’s Tail offers seasonal singing, shows, and a decorated path full of glowing animals. The Christmas Village Experience can also be booked, where you can visit a silent disco and meet Santa.

November 22 to December 31 Drayton Manor: At Christmas Wonderland, you can take a trip on the Twinkle Express, visit Santa’s Grotto (additional charge), or visit Elftoria (additional charge). There is also a varied Christmas entertainment program.

November 22 to January 3 LEGOLAND Windsor: Christmas at Legoland celebrates the festive season with activities for children, shows, and fun rides. A meeting with Santa Claus can also be booked for an additional fee.

November 28 to January 4 Alton Towers: During Christmas at Alton Towers, Towers Street is festively decorated and Christmas music adds to the atmosphere. Selected rides are open during the winter season.

United States

November 1 to January 4 Dollywood: Smoky Mountain Christmas combines a festive atmosphere with decorations, shows, seasonal shopping offers, and special food specials.

November 7 to January 5 Sea World Orlando: The Christmas Celebration features numerous winter shows and parades. You can also go ice skating, take photos with various characters, and enjoy winter to the fullest.

November 14 to December 31 Walt Disney World: The holidays bring magic to all of Walt Disney World. All four parks are decorated and offer special features such as shows, parades, food, and unforgettable moments.

November 14 to January 4 Sea World San Diego: The Christmas Celebration combines lights and a magical time. Meet Santa and Rudolph, watch the shows and parades, shop in the Christmas Shop, or try one of the festive snacks and drinks.

November 14 to January 4 Kennywood: The entire park will be lit up with over 3 million lights during Holiday Lights. You can also meet Rudolph and his friends and discover seasonal shows and treats.

November 14 to January 7 Disneyland California Resort: Viva Navidad and Disney Festival of Holidays ring in the Christmas season at Disneyland Anaheim. The characters slip into their Christmas outfits and there are lots of shows and other special features.

November 14 to January 5 Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Tampa: Christmas Town transforms the parks with festive decorations, where you can meet Rudolph and his friends, enjoy Christmas shows, and indulge in festive dining and shopping.

November 14 to January 4 Hersheypark: The Christmas Candy Lane event features festive decorations, a variety of shows, fantastic rides, and other seasonal specials. There is also a drive-through experience along a decorated route (requires a separate ticket per car).

November 21 to January 4 Knott’s Berry Farm: Knott’s Merry Farm is the perfect winter event for the whole family. There are Christmas shows such as the ice show, meetings with Santa Claus, decorations and photo spots, and culinary highlights.

November 21 to January 4 Universal Orlando Resort: All themed areas are individually decorated for the Holidays at Universal Orlando, and there are additional special areas such as Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Grinchmas in Seuss Landing. There are also seasonal treats, shopping opportunities, and shows.

November 21 to December 31 Wild Adventures: Christmas Wild&Bright focuses particularly on beautifully decorated park. In addition to the Woodland Outpost, there is also the Wonder Walk and the Twinkling Timbers. You can also meet Santa or watch one of the popular shows.

November 22 to January 4 Legoland California: The holidays at Legoland feature seasonal music, shows (some of which are interactive), treats, photo spots, and meet-and-greets with popular Lego characters. On December 6, 13, and 20-31, there will also be Santa’s Christmas Magic Fireworks.

November 22 to January 3 Kentucky Kingdom: The park hosts the largest Christmas event of its kind in Kentucky. In addition to all the decorations, the largest snow tubing hill in Kentucky, and an interactive Santa Meet & Greet, there is a large light show on the Christmas tree and photo opportunities throughout the park.

November 24 to January 4 Universal Studios Hollywood: Universal Studios will be festively decorated during the holiday season and there will be other highlights such as special entertainment, food, and shopping opportunities.

November 27 to January 4 Six Flags Magic Mountain: Holiday in the Park combines sparkling lights, festive shows, winter activities, and, of course, the thrill of the rides.

November 27 to January 4 Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: Boardwalk Winter Wonderland offers festive activities such as taking photos with Santa, watching various shows, eating festive food, making s’mores, and shopping for Christmas.

November 28 to December 31 Kings Island: During the Winter Fest, the park is transformed into a winter wonderland. Experience magical days including ice skating, special entertainment, Christmas activities, Christmas gift shopping, and seasonal culinary offerings.

November 28 to January 3 Carowinds: The Winter Fest combines magical decorations, festive shows, meet-and-greets with Santa and friends, and Christmas activities such as cookie baking for the kids.

November 28 to January 4 Elitch Gardens: The park shines brightly during the holidays with over 4 million lights. Children can also visit Santa Claus, and there is a new Christmas show at the Trocadero Theater.

November 28 to January 4 Six Flags Discovery Kingdom: Winter Fest combines sparkling lights, festive shows, winter activities, and, of course, fun rides and attractions.
