One of Germany’s biggest funfairs is just around the corner: the Rheinkirmes in Düsseldorf. This year’s edition once again promises thrilling rides, colorful booths and plenty of food and drinks. Here’s everything you need to know.
The Rheinkirmes takes place from July 11 to July 20, 2025 on the Oberkassel riverfront in Düsseldorf. This year’s highlights include three major roller coasters, three haunted houses, two water rides, and many popular classics like Break Dance (twice!), the Hangover drop tower, the Infinity looping swing and the Top Spin Fresh. There are also plenty of attractions for families and children.

Pink Monday
Pink Monday on July 14 is the region’s largest LGBTQ+ celebration, attracting around 50,000 queer visitors each year. From 5:00 PM to midnight, the fairground turns into a vibrant space full of music, joy and visibility.
Drone Show
A brand-new drone light show will light up the sky above the Rhine on Saturday, July 12 at 10:30 PM. A second show is scheduled for Friday, July 18, just before the big fireworks.
Fireworks Night
The famous Rheinkirmes fireworks will take place on Friday, July 18 around 10:30 PM between the Oberkasseler Bridge and the Rheinknie Bridge. For safety reasons, both bridges will be closed to car traffic ahead of time.
Getting There and Parking
By Public Transport
Take the U70, U75, U76 or U77 lines to Luegplatz station. From Düsseldorf Central Station, the ride takes about seven minutes. During the fair, services will run more frequently than usual.
By Car
Visitors are strongly encouraged to use public transport. There are no parking spaces directly at the fairground. Several nearby parking garages are recommended on the event website.
