The Italian amusement park Gardaland kicked off the new 2025 season this past weekend. This year, the park is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Visitors can look forward to several new attractions and changes.

New dark ride “Animal Treasure Island”

After the closure of the long-standing classic I Corsari: La Vendetta del Fantasma, the former attraction has been extensively redesigned. On April 12th, Gardaland will open the new themed ride Animal Treasure Island – an immersive adventure for the whole family.

The new attraction invites visitors on an imaginative treasure hunt, blending 20 meticulously designed scenes with impressive sets and modern technology. Custom effects, unique soundtracks, and 360-degree binaural audio enhance the experience in each scene.

Developed by the creative team at Merlin Magic Making, the ride seamlessly merges storytelling with cutting-edge technology. Visitors are guided through a world of mysteries, characters, and interactive experiences along a virtual treasure map.

New Area “Dragon Empire”

At another location in the park, there was a small farewell at the end of the previous season.

The themed area Kung Fu Panda Academy, which opened in 2016, offered two rides in a charming setting. One was the spinning coaster Kung Fu Panda Master, and the other was the teacup ride Mr. Ping’s Noodle Surprise. The theme was based on the animated film series Kung Fu Panda.

Starting this season, the area will no longer feature the beloved characters. It will now be known as Dragon Empire. The roller coaster has been renamed Dragon Rush, and the teacup ride has been transformed into Rocket Factory. It’s not yet known whether the themed area and the two attractions have been visually updated as well.

New Movie in the 4D Cinema

In the 4D cinema, visitors can enjoy the new film Prezzemolo and the Mystery of the Hidden Worlds.

An unexpected event in a secret underground laboratory shakes up the world of Gardaland: A magnetic disturbance has captured Prezzemolo (the park’s mascot) and transported him to distant dimensions. Now, it’s up to the audience to help bring him back safely, alongside the robot TIG 50 GD.

Innovative New Show: A.I. – The Future is Here

At the Gardaland Theatre, the park presents the new show A.I. – The Future is Here. In about 20 minutes, visitors will embark on an extraordinary journey into the world of artificial intelligence – featuring futuristic colors, special effects, live music, and immersive visual elements.

Performances are held at 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM, except on Wednesdays. The 4:30 PM show is only available on weekends, holidays, and the evening before holidays.

New Show for the Whole Family

The new live show BIM BUM BAM is based on a popular Italian TV show from the ’80s and ’90s. It aims to make younger visitors laugh, sing, and dance, while taking parents on a nostalgic trip to relive the magical moments of their childhood.

The show lasts about 10 minutes and is performed twice daily (11:00 AM, 3:30 PM) at the Teatro della Fantasia.
