The new water coaster, called Donnervind, is scheduled to open on June 20 at Plohn Amusement Park in Lengenfeld. To mark the park’s 30th anniversary, 11.5 million euros were invested in this world-first attraction.

The new attraction at Plohn Amusement Park is a Multi Launch Water Coaster. This means it combines the fun of a water ride with that of a roller coaster. The course is very varied and perfect for the whole family. The park describes the ride as follows: “The MULTI LAUNCH WATER COASTER catapults you into the water from a standing start and promises exciting turns, splashy descents, fast inversions, and even a second launch for the whole family before you plunge into the water one last time with a big ‘splash.’”

Storyline

“Donnervind” is the Norwegian term for a thunderstorm. The attraction is based on a Viking theme. The American company “Universal Rocks” is responsible for the attraction’s design.
