Fun Fair in Geldern 2026: Opening Hours, Attractions & Visitor Information

From May 23 to 26, the Gelderner Pfingstkirmes, the largest street fair on the Lower Rhine, returns once again.

Starting May 23, it’s once again fairground season in Geldern! This year, visitors can once again look forward to a wide variety of thrilling rides, game stalls, and culinary highlights.

Must-dos this year:

• Ride the Solar Wheel | solar-powered Ferris wheel
• Take a ride on Heidi – The Coaster | family-friendly roller coaster for all ages
• Experience dizzying heights on Gladiator | adrenaline-filled thrill ride (approx. 62 meters)
• Large closing fireworks display on Tuesday

Saturday: 2:00 PM – 1:00 AM | Opening ceremony featuring the traditional parade of marching bands and the colorful flag parade of the showmen’s associations + keg tapping and free drinks
Sunday: 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM
Monday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Tuesday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM | Family Day + closing high-altitude fireworks display

Travel and Parking

By Car

During the Pfingstkirmes, plenty of parking spaces are available throughout the city of Geldern. You can find an overview of the parking areas here.

By Public Transport

This year, special services on the city bus line “De Geldersche” (SL9) will once again be available. The city bus will operate on all four days according to a special timetable.

By Bicycle

Supervised bicycle parking areas will be available at several locations near the fairgrounds. You can find more information here.
