The theme park season is in full swing and with it come a number of events. You can find an overview of the May events in Themeparks here.
Austria
May 17 – August 22 Fantasiana: Fantastica heralds the start of summer and the park is open longer on selected days. There is also an evening show including a big fireworks display and many other show acts throughout the day.
Denmark
May 03 – June 22 Legoland: New is the Lego Festival on the weekends during this period. You can experience an extensive program in 5 different zones (Dance Zone, Gaming Zone, Creative Zone, Chill Out Zone and Music Zone).
May 10 and 11 Danfoss Universe: The park celebrates its special day with a whole birthday weekend. The program includes parades, craft workshops, quizzes, balloon artists and much more.
May 17 Danfoss Universe: A special day is dedicated to the fire and rescue service. Some rescue workers will come to the park and introduce you to their job and the tasks involved. The popular dogs from “Paw Patrol” will also be there.
France
May 18 Jardin d’acclimatation: Happy Holi takes place from 10 am to 6 pm. In the style of a festival there will be loud music and at 4 pm the Holi colors will make the sky more colorful. To achieve a cool effect, please come dressed in white.
Germany
May 01 Europapark: The official maypole-laying ceremony takes place at 12 noon in the Bavarian beer garden (Germany). This also heralds the start of the beer garden season and is followed by typical food, live music and games.
May 01 – May 03 Europapark: More than 20 hot air balloons take to the skies over Europapark at the Balloon Festival. You can also take part with a ticket for 190 euros (sells out quickly).
May 03 – June 22 Legoland: New is the Lego Festival on the weekends during this period. You can experience an extensive program in 5 different zones (Dance Zone, Gaming Zone, Creative Zone, Chill Out Zone and Music Zone).
May 03 and May 04 Fort Fun: The Yakari weekend is all about the little Indian boy. There are great hands-on activities such as archery, face painting, stroking a bird of prey, a party in the saloon and lots of other games. Yakari himself will of course also be there.
May 05 Movie Park: Camera Day takes place from 10 am to 5 pm. The park is open to you on a closing day to take photos in the scenery. There is also the opportunity to drive into the park with your own car and take photos. Tickets are limited.
May 09 Europa Park: Europe Day means celebrating peace and unity in Europe. To this end, Europa Park organizes a special day with special acts and performances throughout the park.
May 10th and 11th Europa Park: the Italian Festival is all about Italian culture and traditions. The Italian themed area is transformed into a festive event location.
May 16 – May 18 Wunderland Kalkar: The Reactor Festival brings an exciting festival to Wunderland Kalkar. There are numerous different music acts and DJs who will create a great atmosphere.
May 24 Wunderland Kalkar: Wunderland Kalkar on Wheels is a charity event for children. Children with illnesses and disabilities are invited to drive around with truckers in their trucks.
May 25 Ravensburger Spieleland: Tractor fans get their money’s worth at the tractor meeting. There are various machines to look at and there are also games from John Deere for the kids.
May 29 – June 01 Heide Park: The Pirate Festival takes you back to the age of piracy. Numerous pirates roam around, there are exciting games and adventurous shows. There is also a pirate camp where you can experience how the pirates lived.
May 30 – June 01 Europa Park: The new themed area Croatia is staged at the Croatian Festival. Experience the country in a festive way at Europa Park.
Netherlands
May 02 – May 04 Walibi Holland: Walibi Play is the gaming event for young and old. There are 15 different games such as Minecraft and Roblox and you can also meet 3 gaming heroes on site.
May 24 and 25 Toverland: The Troy Coaster Challenge is an event for a good cause. 24 participants dare to ride the wooden roller coaster for 24 hours to collect money for the “Jade” foundation. On both days, the roller coaster is open exclusively for the campaign.
Poland
May 31 – June 1 Energylandia: Everyone can discover their inner child at the Kids Party and of course there are also lots of activities for the real kids. It will be a colorful weekend with lots of surprises and shows.
United Kingdom
May 03 – June 08 Legoland: New is the Lego Festival on the weekends during this period. You can experience an extensive program in 5 different zones (Dance Zone, Gaming Zone, Creative Zone, Chill Out Zone and Music Zone).
May 17 Adventure Island: Dinosaur takeover at the theme park! All the dinosaurs are coming to the park for you to marvel at and meet.
