Aarhus in Miniland
Miniland at LEGOLAND® is expanding! This year, Aarhus is being added as a brand-new area. Visitors can explore impressive landmarks of the city, including Aarhus Cathedral, the ARoS Art Museum, the Town Hall, The Iceberg, the Salling department store, Åboulevarden, and the train station. More than 2.5 million LEGO® bricks have been used to create the models, which cover an area of 310 square meters.
Facts About the New Aarhus Attraction
- Aarhus Cathedral: The model measures 5 × 5 meters, consists of one million LEGO® bricks, and took 2,300 hours to build.
- Aarhus Town Hall: Built with 500,000 LEGO® bricks in 850 hours, this model features a total of 219 windows.
- “Your rainbow panorama” at ARoS: This colorful artwork by Olafur Eliasson has been designed to create the illusion that museum visitors are walking through the panorama.
Pirate Playground “Pirate Lagoon”
In 2025, LEGOLAND® Billund will also introduce the brand-new pirate-themed playground, Pirate Lagoon.
The highlight of this attraction is a 22-meter-long pirate ship with an 11.5-meter-high mast, inspired by the iconic LEGO® set The Brick Bounty. Throughout the year, additional LEGO® details will be added to the ship at a 1:25 scale.
The ship offers a variety of play experiences. Kids can encounter fearsome sea monsters and go on treasure hunts. For younger visitors, a dedicated LEGO® DUPLO® pirate area ensures a safe and child-friendly environment.
One special feature: The pirate ship is fully accessible, allowing wheelchair users to join the adventure as well.
New LEGO® Shop
The LEGO® Shop at the park entrance has also been completely redesigned and now offers a unique shopping experience across nearly 1,000 square meters.
Visitors can browse a wide range of LEGO sets, including exclusive LEGOLAND® Billund Boxes, available only at this location. A highlight of the shop is the Minifigure Factory, where guests can design and personalize their own LEGO minifigure for the first time. Several unique minifigure designs, exclusive to LEGOLAND® Billund, are also available here.
Another exciting feature is the LEGO Mosaic Maker, which allows visitors to transform their own pictures into LEGO mosaics.
