Universal Orlando Resort is expanding the entertainment lineup of its new theme park, Universal Epic Universe, with a spectacular new nighttime show. The company has officially announced that “Universal Celestial Goodnight” will premiere on July 7, 2026, and will be presented every evening thereafter.
The new production will transform the park’s central hub, Celestial Park, into a large-scale spectacle featuring water effects, dazzling lighting, and fireworks after the park closes. The show is designed to give guests a memorable way to end their day at Universal’s newest theme park.
A Spectacular Combination of Lights, Water, and Fireworks
The new show has been developed by Universal’s award-winning entertainment team and celebrates the worlds and characters guests can experience throughout the various lands of Epic Universe.
The production will feature elements inspired by SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and Dark Universe.
To bring the experience to life, Universal is utilizing an impressive technical setup. Nearly 600 synchronized lighting fixtures, more than 350 fountain elements, and approximately seven million LED lights integrated throughout Celestial Park will be used during the show. Combined with a specially created musical score, the experience will encompass the entire area, from Luna to Apollo, in a carefully choreographed performance.
The grand finale will feature a spectacular fireworks display illuminating the sky above Epic Universe and providing an unforgettable conclusion to a day filled with adventure.
Nightly Performances Beginning July 7
“Universal Celestial Goodnight” will debut on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and will be presented nightly at Universal Epic Universe. The recently opened theme park will thus receive its first major nighttime spectacular, adding yet another highlight to its growing entertainment offering.
With its combination of water effects, immersive lighting, music, and fireworks, Universal Orlando Resort continues its strategy of delivering high-quality entertainment experiences that extend well beyond sunset.
