Karls is set to open an entirely new leisure destination in Elstal, near Berlin, with the launch of the Bibi & Tina Theme Park in summer 2027. During the topping-out ceremony on July 1, 2026, the company unveiled extensive new details about the upcoming park for the first time. Developed in partnership with publisher KIDDINX, the €60 million project will become the world’s first theme park dedicated to the beloved Bibi & Tina franchise.

The project is part of Karls’ long-term strategy to transform its Elstal location into a multi-day destination for visitors.

€60 Million Investment and Four Themed Lands

Following more than four years of planning and construction, the fully themed park is taking shape across approximately 36,500 square meters. More than 55 project partners and 35 specialist companies are involved in bringing the ambitious development to life.

The park will feature four themed lands, all inspired by the popular Bibi & Tina animated series, audio dramas, and feature films. Alongside familiar stories and characters, visitors can also expect newly created multimedia content developed exclusively for the theme park.

Eleven Attractions Including Germany’s First Möbius Duelling Launch Coaster

One of the biggest highlights will be 11 brand-new attractions designed for children, families, and thrill-seekers alike. The lineup includes Germany’s first Duelling Launch Coaster with a Möbius layout, allowing both tracks to form one continuous circuit.

In addition to the rides, Karls is planning a wide range of family experiences, including several themed playgrounds, a large indoor play area, a jumping zone, and opportunities to meet horses, ponies, chickens, and goats.

In keeping with the Karls concept, many of these experiences will be available free of charge.

New Dining Concepts, Flagship Store, and Evening Show

Food also plays a major role in the new development. Visitors can look forward to more than ten dining venues, offering a variety of family-friendly food concepts.

The park will also feature the world’s only Bibi & Tina Flagship Store, alongside several additional themed shops, including a dedicated Hobby Horsing store.

To round off the day, Karls is planning a large-scale evening show.

Themed Hotel Next to the Park

Located directly beside the theme park, a new themed hotel will offer 46 family rooms inspired by the iconic Martinshof from the Bibi & Tina universe.

The carefully themed accommodations will overlook the park, allowing guests to extend their visit into a multi-day experience.

Karls Continues to Focus on Families and Free Experiences

Despite the significant investment, Karls intends to remain true to its established philosophy. The new Bibi & Tina Theme Park will not charge a traditional admission fee. Instead, many attractions and experiences will remain freely accessible, while individual rides can be purchased separately.

According to Karls, accessibility and creating experiences suitable for even the youngest visitors have been key priorities throughout the planning process.

Robert Dahl, owner of Karls Erlebnis-Dörfer, said:

“With the Bibi & Tina Theme Park, Karls is taking the next step toward Karls World and our goal of becoming a multi-day destination for both national and international guests. In everything we do, it is important that we remain accessible to everyone. That’s why the new Bibi & Tina Theme Park will not have a traditional admission fee, and many experiences will be available free of charge.” (translated)

Dahl also emphasized the close partnership with KIDDINX and the shared vision of bringing the 35-year-old Bibi & Tina brand to life as a fully immersive themed world for the very first time.

The Bibi & Tina Theme Park is scheduled to open on July 1, 2027.
