From March 22 to April 21, the Frühlingsfest ins Hannover takes place on the Schützenplatz. A large funfair with various rides, play booths, food offers and other special features. You can find all the information here.

As the name suggests, the Spring Festival in Hanover heralds the arrival of spring. You can expect the most popular funfair classics and many other special features such as special days or a large fireworks display on selected days.

Special Days

Every Wednesday, the funfair invites you to a family day. There is a discount of up to 50% at the attractions and booths.

Every Friday (28.03, 04.04 and 11.04) a large 360 degree firework display takes place from 21.45. The sky lights up in beautiful spring colors. The fireworks can be admired from the entire Schützenplatz and the surrounding area.

There is an extensive program in the Festhalle Ahrend (party tent). A mix of live acts and DJs invite you to celebrate together. At the weekends there is mainly live music and on Wednesdays and Thursdays there is an after-work party with a DJ. It is recommended to reserve a table in advance.

Directions

Arrival by public transport is recommended, as there may be a large crowd. Take the Stadtbahn from Hauptbahnhof / Kröpcke on lines 3, 7 and 9 to ‘Waterloo’ station, from there it is a 4-minute walk to Schützenplatz. S-Bahn from the airport (Terminal C) to the main station. From there, take tram lines 3, 7 and 9 to ‘Waterloo’ station. Take the bus lines 100/200 to the stop ‘HDI-Arena’ .

If you want to come by car, you can either park on the Schützenplatz itself for 3 euros or around the square, for example at the HDI-Arena. Autobahn A2 (Dortmund/Berlin) exit Herrenhausen via Messeschnellweg to Rudolf-von-Bennigsen Ufer B65 direction Hannover Zentrum, Südschnellweg to Rudolf-von-Bennigsen Ufer Autobahn A7 (Hamburg/Kassel) exit Anderten, Südschnellweg to Rudolf-von-Bennigsen Ufer
