The English theme park Paultons Park is set to open a brand-new spooky attraction in just a few days. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about this year’s big new addition – and when you can experience Ghostly Manor for yourself.
What is Ghostly Manor?
Ghostly Manor is an interactive dark ride set inside a mysterious and legendary mansion. This exciting new attraction is being built near the park entrance, on the former site of a 4D cinema. Although the theme is spooky, it is designed to be family-friendly. Details about age or height restrictions are not yet available but will be announced soon.
The ride is a type of Gameplay Theater created by the German manufacturer Mack Rides. During the experience, guests will pass through 8 to 10 different scenes, armed with a “Phantom Phaser” to hunt ghosts. These scenes will feature a mix of physical sets and screens where the ghosts will appear.
This Gameplay Theater is a new kind of attraction that brings an interactive dark ride experience into a compact space.
The first attraction of this type debuted just a few months ago as GRAND PRIX EDventure at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany.
The Story of Ghostly Manor
Dr. Benjamin Kinley has been fascinated by the supernatural ever since that fateful night – the night when a mysterious figure named Ohjee peeked through his bedroom window with a mischievous grin.
Growing up within the eerie walls of Kinley Manor only deepened his obsession, leading him to vow at a young age to one day face Ohjee and other unruly spirits.
Decades later, Dr. Kinley has succeeded in creating the “Phantom Phaser” – a device used to detect and contain ghostly beings – and has now opened the doors to Ghostly Manor, offering visitors a truly supernatural experience.
Equipped with their own Phaser, guests can explore Dr. Kinley’s collection of apparitions and cursed artifacts – just in case a ghost ever manages to break free…
